WARNING - There is currently a scam going on with phones. It is especially a problem on mobile phones. What happens is a machine (configured by a questionable character) is setup to robo-dial any and every number. It rings once then it hangs up so you see a missed call on your phone. It could be a local number or an international number. Whether it is local or international, if you don't know the number DON'T ring it back! It is a premium number that generates income for the peson who set this scam up! Please be cautious and don't return calls from numbers you don't recognise!

Following on from Monday's warning about rouge messages, today we want to alert you to rouge emails. There is an increasing number of emails with invoices attached being received. Don't be fooled! If you've never dealt with the company why would you be invoiced? They may escalate to threats of debt collection. As detailed here; nzherald.co.nz/tech/news/emailinvoices don't respond.

We don't have a lot of iOS devices kicking around for lots of reasons. However we do know that there are several iPhones and iPads kicking around. Now we doubt that any of you will do this, but figure it is worth warning everyone so no iPhone, iPad, or iPod is broken (I know one of my kids may try this and render his device kaput)!
