With the pending change to TelstraClear we will lose Xtra email addresses (those that are @xtra.co.nz). This is only a challenge for personal email addresses as all official communication from Corps and Centres must be done using Lotus Notes.
However if you have a personal Xtra email address then all is not lost. ISG recommends that you signup for a free email address that is independent of an ISP (i.e. GMail.com, Hotmail.com, live.com, etc). There are lots to choose from so pick one that you like the sound of then start using it!
If you're using an email client (Thunderbird, Outlook, Mac Mail, etc), most of them allow you to download email for more than one account. To find out how to do this simple Google adding <GMail/Hotmail/etc> to <Thunderbird/Outlook/etc> mail client. This will direct you to step by step instructions that will help you.
